The Parish Council are looking into the play area being re-located to The Glebe at the Village Hall.
A village survey will be carried out in due course to ascertain the views of the residents.
Since the new Village Hall has been re-built it has become a much more useable building and lettings have increased. The Parish Council feel that the play area would be better placed adjacent the hall, which it is hoped will be well used and accessible.
Play Area equipment does not come cheap, and the Parish Council are looking into various funding avenues to fund the project.
The District Council's Community Infrastructure Levy (CiL) pot would give us 75% of the cost, when applied for, and other pots are being investigated. Unfortunately, the CiL money can only be used for 'new' items, not 'replacement' items which is why the new location is also being considered.
Some of the current equipment is in a poor state and until decisions have been made and formalised items may need to be taken down to ensure the safety of those using them.
